Meridian 556 Power Amplifer Upgraded Recapped, Amazing Sound

  

Meridian 556 Power Amplifier in exceptional condition. It's been fully serviced and upgraded: recapped using Nichicon Fine Gold capacitors to both amplifier boards, hardly used since and works wonderfully. A couple of age related marks but hardly noticeable. Very clean looking and wonderful sounding amplifier. This amp rivals any modern amplifier and holds its head high!

- sounding fabulous and powerful. It's rated at 100W into 8 Ohms and 170W into 4 Ohms per channel but sounds even stronger. Remember it's a newer design that the 200W 557 and when compared to that we thought it sounded a little sweeter! Output (stereo) Greater than 100W per channel into 8? Greater than 170W per channel into 4?

Distortion Less than 0.1%. Finish Black textured enamel and glass. Dimensions 88mm x 400mm x 320mm. (3.45" x 15.7" x 12.6). Consumption 30VA quiescent, 650VA max.
