The ST20SE is a 12+12W PURE CLASS A medium powered integrated amplifier offering warmth and colour in an ultra-smooth way to delight almost anyone who is sensitive to the many harsh and clinical presentations offered by many solid state amplifiers. Completely opposite to many harsh sounding solid state amplifiers.
"SINGLE ENDED" amplifiers are where only a single output valve is used for each channel, this results in ultra-smooth "Pure Class A" performance from the most simple design possible, with an absolute minimal audio path. This particular amplifier is an ex demo warehouse find in virtually pristine condition with an new set of valves. This is an earlier version of our other ST20se listing which is a 19+19W KT88 version with remote control and cover. 100% Pure Class A output power. Pure Class A output, all Triode driver stage.
Output power 12W Pure Class A. 2x EL34/6L6/KT77/KT66 output valve, (Could be converted to KT88/6550). All hand wired point to point. Signal to noise ratio -80dB. Freq resp 20 - 20kHz -1db (1W). 4 & 8 ohm loudspeaker taps. Big custom wound PSU Choke. Gold plated Input & speaker terminals. 250mv (high) & 500mv (low) input sensitivity.
