The New Sound of Silver. Monitor Audio built its first ever metal dome tweeter over 50 years ago. It appeared in the R852MD and made it a landmark product. Up to then, most metal domes had been single metal types using copper or titanium.
They sounded hard and bright. By combining an Aluminium-Magnesium alloy with Ferro fluid damping and cooling, Monitor Audio's C-CAM tweeter design was significantly smoother and more musical than its single metal rivals and formed ten basis for a whole generation of metal domes. Monitor Audio is a proactive force in loudspeaker technology and a leading proponent of metal drive units.
The Silver S range brings even more of the clarity, detail, speed and punch that made Monitor Audio's award winning Silver Series speakers so special. Superb craftsmanship, real wood veneers and peerless attention to detail combined with sharp style.
