Wharfedale Laser 80 Cabinet Speakers, Beautiful Sound & Fantastic Condition

  
Here is something of a rarity in this condition, a beautiful pair of Wharfedale Laser 80, 3 way cabinet speakers. They are quite a large, sealed, cabinet, measuring 48cm tall, 27cm wide, 25cm front to back deep, and 20 litre internal volume. Being a 3way arrangement, these use an 8" bass woofer, 4" midrange, and almost 1 dome tweeter. Rated for use with amplifiers of 15 to 85 peak rms capacity, and i can verify that being highly efficient, these don't take much driving at all, and certainly sound every bit as fresh as they look great! These can certainly punch, they still sound nice and tight, and have a lovely balanced bass/mid/treble audio range. They have performed great on all genres of music, and will very likely pair very nicely with just about any amp. All the drivers, seals, surrounds, coils etc are in tip top condition, and perform just as they should. The cabinets are in great condition, and the finish is still superb, its hard to believe these are best part of 40 years old! The front grills are in similar great condition, overall pretty remarkable that they have been so well looked after, but then i bought these, and another pair, from the same guy, a long term hifi fanatic and music lover, who clearly loved and cared for his equipment immensely. I think speakers such as this design work best either on stands, shelves or brackets, to lift them up to your normal listening head height, and to this end, if you need something to get them off the floor, just enquire, i often have a small selection of stands etc to help set them up properly.
